Anyone succesfully completed an engine swap in a '93 -'94 camaro?
I purchased a '94 Camaro in June of '94 and she's about to hit 200,000 miles on the original 3.4L V6. Yes, third fuel pump, third water pump, and 6 alternators later she's still running. Here's the best part. She still manages 28 mpg on the highway at 75 mph.
Now for my question. I want a street / strip car and the body and suspension are in very good condition. Interior is nearly perfect. I want to dump the V6 and put in a ZZ4 crate motor. Maybe send it to the V6 hall of fame.
Anyone have info on the swap? Fit issues with the dist. on the rear of the engine? Firewall / dist. clearance issues?
I remember seeing a convert. '93 Z28 in New Orleans about 6 years ago and the guy had a 396 out of a wrecked Chevelle nicely placed under the hood.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
