Tire Recommendations

Hi,
I have always been pretty satisfied with Goodrich COmp TA's. Always reasonable, reliable & stop on a dime. Seems like I can't find them this time around. Any comments on tires that you like that are similar? I do need a hood hugging tire that grips well on quick acceleration (SL not VR4)and quick stops. Live in Chicago but weather usually no problem with COMP TA's never slipped. (I remember a pair of Yokohamas sliding through an intersection once - that's when I got the TA's. They are not budget busters at $100/tire?.
Is there a discussion faq on this somewhere, too?
Thanks in advance guys. I appreciate it.
Mark

i'm getting falkens put on my stealth, tread is good for dry pavement traction. but there's plenty of groves to get u around in rain and probably up to 3inches of snow. i'll let u know how they feel, they get installed on tuesday. nitto are good to, had them on my 924, good traction(wouldnt know about snow, never tried)

ive got BFG gForce Sports and wouldnt recommend them. I had goodyear's prior to getting these and it was a definite downgrade, the BFGs are no where near as responsive as my old goodyear's.
have never driven either in snow, so i cant comment on that.

Yes, I would like to hear how they feel and sound on the road to you, Thanks.
Appreciate it. I'll be looking up Falkens.

Hi,
How do you like the Falkens.
Did it give you a good grip.
If you liked them let me know the model number.
Thanks, Mark

the only car i ever drove with falken was a 96 3000gt sl. they allowed for good grip, but the only cars to really compete against were my 944(a lil slow in comparison) and my stealth tt(a lil better suspension) so overall cant really tell
