Clutch Fluid???

I was wondering if there was a specific type of clutch fluid i had to use.

Same as brake fluid.

I filled up the clutch but i still of no pedal. When i push in the clutch theres nothing. Is this because of air in the clutch line when i disconnected it.

You need to bleed it from the slave end.

Can you give more information?? It was the indication that the fluid was only low and now clutch is not working at all??

The clutch hydraulic system is self venting, so if you pump the clutch a couple times and you still have no pressure to disengage the clutch it might be time to replace the clutch.

How many miles are on the Jeep?

The clutch hydraulics system can also be replaced as a complete system for about $125.00 (e-bay sells full fluid, ready to install) and is very easy to replace. Just a couple bolts to work with.

The clutch was working fine until we lost oil from the line by the tranny. We refilled the resovoir but still have nothing at the clutch pedal.

Does your problem resemble mine?

If I fill the reservoir and then pump the pedal like a crazy man, it comes back until
enough slowly leaks out again- from the Throwout Piston seal (17 years old) to cause a dead pedal.
