buying a 350 for 200.00 dollars problem is it has a blown oil line and has been sitting for about 3 yrs...Im replacing and upgrading many parts anyway but is the oil line a huge expensive problem, im thinking because the engine is already pulled and going under surgery that it should not be a problem? Somebody help..

Go ahead and explain a little more about this 'blown oil line'. The oil line would connect the engine with an oil cooler near the radiator, it's not internal to the engine.

Ok i talk to they guy and i asked him exactly whats with the oil line and responded with this...

I blew an oil line. My dad "fixed" it, told me to drive it, it didn't run right so I made him drive it, he said he couldn't get it over 75 so he parked it. He pulled the motor a year and a half later and there were metal shavings in it. Other than that I am not sure. I wish I could help you more.

Figure that you're in for at least a reground crankshaft and the bearing saddles and rods should be checked carefully. A line honing or boring may be required if a main bearing spun. Count on going for a good hot tanking and hand cleaning. If you have another block candidate, pass this one up.
