Tinted Windows

Has anyone gone and done the tinted windows route? If you have what is the best method and who would you recommend getting the window tint from?

My personal '93 is tined (rear three windows). I have no idea who did it or what shade it is, but it's pretty dark and I do like it. I'll definitely be tinting my caprice after I make her healthy again.

A local shop. Ask them to refer customers who've had the work done there.
Each state has different requirements with regard to which windows can be tinted and what the max. tint is.

You could always go the route that the guy did I bought mine from. Spray paint them black on the inside!! Thanks genius! No blind spots on this car:banghead:

I have 20% on my Metro and I think it's too dark for nighttime driving. You have to make a concious hard look around before changing lanes, etc. When I had my Aerio done I got 35% and it's a better choice for me.

I did the 2 back side ones on my hatchback. I had a lot of trouble getting it to lie flat the 98's windows are curved at the edges which makes them hard to do. I used a hair dryer to warm it up and that helped some but it's not perfect. I wouldn't even attempt the back glass you would have to cut into strips and do it. Just my 2cents worth
