heated seat

Hello everyone this is my first post. I have had my 96 aurora for about 9 months and I love the car. Now my drivers heated seat starting giving me problems about 3 weeks ago, It would work sometimes but not others. I also noticed a clicking noise which I thought was coming from the dash and was totally unrelated. I just discovered that the clicking noise is the same noise that you hear when you turn on the heated seat. So my question is does anyone know what this part is and if it can be repaired or replaced. all help would be appreciated thanks.

Does your heater come on at all? Maybe just a second or less? If so, that points to an open circuit in your heating element in the seat. Lift it all the way up and find the element plug. Disconnect and read across terminals (of the element) with ohmmeter.
