Durango ABS and brake lights

I have 99 Durango with 97K miles on it. Once in a while while driving the ABS and Brake light come on the dash. If I stop and turn the car off and restart the lights go out. Is this a bad sensor, bad brakes or something else. Anybody else has seen this condition?

Thanks

Thanks guys. It turned out to be a rear wheel speed sensor. It only cost me 184.00:) to fix it. A deal compared to what things cost today.

are you saying your brakelites are not working or the brake lite in the dash is on

The codes for the ABS system requires a special reader. Autozone and those kind of places don't have it.
They are very expensive.

I have the same problem, after replacing the front and rear wheel sensors and not curing the problem, I just kind of gave up at least for a while.
