My goal in the next year or 2 is moving down the Florida to work for a company. I know there are a few florida members on here, what can you tell me about the sunshine state? I'm probably gonna try to stay away from miami, i don't wanna get popped or anything. Also, i don't want to be washed from hurricanes, so coastal cities are a limit for me also. Where and what are some of the safest areas in florida? whether from floods/robbery/theft/or whatever. Thanks.

Well then don't move to Florida.

'Caines aside, for safe you should check out Pensacola, up in the pan handle. Half the people who live there are over 70, the other half are the fighter jocks that are stationed at the air base, which, I might add, has an awesome mueseum. And you don't need an alarm clock if you live close to the base, the Blue Angels will do it for you.

i find this offensive, you make miami seem like its a run down area where crimes and murders are committed every second....

Miami is a great place to live and pretty safe, It just depends on where you are living cause miami consists of alot of areas, I can list them from best to worst.

Coral Gables, Kendall, South miami, Miami Lakes, Westchester, Hialeah, Richmond hieghts, Cutler ridge.

Also Hurricanes are nothing to really worry about as long as you prepare for them, people tend to over-react about them. I know what youre going to say "But New Orleans!" The problem with New Orleans was there was no vegitation and that the place is so far below sea level it was like pouring water into a bowl, there was no where for the water to go and nothing to soak it up, unlike florida where even though parts of it are below sea level it has plenty of vegitation to soak up the water that comes here.

The problem with New Orleans was the Fifth Ward. The downtown area, French Quarter, Bourbon, that entire area is just fine and dandy. I went there the summer after Katrina and it was golden.

Coral Gables is Beautiful especially around this time of year when they decorate with the lights and put up a Huge tree right in the middle the place. Only thing about coral gables is you have to have money to live there.

iirc, you are in wisconsin for school still ricer? its going to be a big social change, as its very diverse there apposed to wisconsin in spurts anyway.

No corollas? tell that to these people

Ive caught some of there cars on the road and picked fights with them, their cars are nothing to mess with at all.

And not all cuban girls are how Musashi said, again it's all where youre location is, cause if you look in the right place you will find some really nice chicks. Plus even though hispanic chicks can give you a hard time they will freaking love you to death.

chiquea, I've been on corollacarclub.com ever since I've owned my corolla. They are based in florida and probably the biggest corolla tuners in the country next to california. Don't forget, no snow in florida so they drive rwd corollas year round. Oh yeah, i've been in minnesota for like 3 years now, where ya been!? ;)

you forgot i'm asian, chiquea, i'm more diversed than you think ;)

Mush, cuban girls don't like asian? awww man! thanks for the heads up :(

Sorry to burst your bubble though, you wont find many rwd corollas here but there are alot of ricer civics and srt-4's around, and you will find a monster of a car tuner about 2-3 times a night.

Like the other night there was this '03 cobra that spun tires in 3rd from about 60. He spun so much that he didnt move till he grabbed traction again in 4th.

I just did a header/y-pipe install with a buddy on his IS300. The car was purchased in New York, and subject to north eastern winters. The bolts had become a single, solid piece with the nuts. We litterally soaked everything we could in PB Blaster, and it didn't work. It was this past Saturday alone that convinced me to never go anywhere that it snows regularly.

Hows the IS300 running after the install?

Excellent, with a good tone too. My ultra calibrated butt dyno says it really picked up some power around the mid range, and a touch in the top end. It doesn't sound obnoxious, but it does have a nice burble at idle. We are trying to set up a race now. I have just the Mazdaspeed CAI, he has the Mazzuri headers/y-pipe, Titan cam gear, JoeZ intake with a K&N Filter, and GReddy E-manage. We want to get a run in before I do the downpipe/midpipe and gut the rear cat. That, however, wont be done until I pick up a decent wideband. No one would happen to have an AEM Uego or other wideband they'd like to sling me on the cheap?

pb blaster doesnt work on exhaust parts period that have been in snow period. just plasma/dremel/you name it cut, and you are on your way. hell, what is a 50cent bolt?

Yeah, but when you have to rotozip about twelve bolts and still sawzall the stock exhaust pipes, it gets pretty damn annoying and takes more time than it should.
