Crank Sensor???????????????

Has anyone on here replaced their crank sensor on their vr4... i have a 93 and have been told that i have to pretty much do the repair like I'm doing a T-belt. I'm really hoping someone can help me out cuz this problem can't come at a worse time? any insite would be great, thanks
