no heat

93 grand am-has new water pump and thermostat-still no heat. temp gauge only goes up to middle if left to idle.

I think we'll need a little more info then that...

Does it blow at all ??
Have you checked the coolant level ?
Does it have the proper mix ?
Check the two smaller hoses , going into the fire wall, when the engine's warmed up.
Both should be hot.

the blower works fine -coolant has been flushed out and new in-heater core flush put in-now we have a little heat but not very hot.

I'd replace the thermostat, with a 195 degree one, if that's not been replaced recently.
