Hey guys, I dont have an eclipse as of yet but do plan on purchasing one shortly, my dream system has always been 4 15's i know its over board but i dont know thats just my thing, but how many 15's can you fit in the back of a 97/98 eclipse?

Either you'd be stacking them, or you'd have to fold down the back seats, not that the seats in the back could serve any purpose at all. I'm not too sure about the exact size of two 15's but I might think that they could easily go side by side in the back. But I'm about 90% sure that you'd have to fold the seat down.

you could fit 4 but youd be pushing small boxes...
try elemental designs audio...
their k series are very inexpensive, and are very good in small boxes..
edit-- forgot the link www.edesignaudio.com

i suggest you build you own boxes... just get a program like winISD, and figure out what size box you need, then plan it out and build it yourself...
once you figure out what size box, play with the dimensions till it comes out right...
(L"xW"xH") / 1728 = box size in cubic feet
then just remember to use the inner dimensions of the box, not the outer, if you use 3/4" mdf, just measure the outter dimensions, and subtract 1.5 from each one. (L, W, and H)

i think youd have to email the guys at edesigns to get the data for the k series they are selling now, because they are a newer model than the beta version of winisd has in it.... all you have to do is input the numbers, or they might be able to send you the file that has it in it...

Its hard to build a box...sometimes it has to be perfect for the subs to sound right. i would have a professional do it. it wouldnt cost that much around 200 for a good one, you could prolly fit 4 15's if they didnt require many cu. ft. of space, you might have to have the box built to cover your whoule trunk tho but who needs a trunk anyway??
