Hi, I'm a total noob and I'm thinking about geting a car to play with. I started looking around a few weeks ago and fell in love with the 6th generation Celica. I was just wondering if you guys thought this was a good choice for my first project car, and if so what modifications I should start looking into. I am a highschool student and have a very limited budget so I'm looking for mods that'll give me some pep but without breaking the bank.
thx in advance

I believe that the 6th gen celicas are awesome. I love the body style and they still have the 2.2l instead of the newer models that are 1.6l(I believe). As far as some mods for you to do that aren't too expensive, the two areas to start with are your intake and exhaust. Get high flow intake, get an exhaust system, you could get some headers if you wanted to. Beyond that theres not really to much more your going to be able to do thats not very expensive. After you get the above and depending on how far your wanting to go with your car, I would start getting together internal engine parts and injectors to get it ready for a turbo charger.

Yeah thats about what I figured based on the research I've been doing. Thanks for the confirmation. I was also thinking about striping the interior and getting rid of all the A/C stuff, would that be worthwhile?
