WASHINGTON (AFP) — Washington Redskins star defender Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning after being shot Monday by intruders at his home in Miami, the National Football League club announced Tuesday.
The 24-year-old safety died in a Florida hospital where he underwent nearly seven hours of emergency surgery Monday to repair a severed femoral artery, the team confirmed in a website statement.
"This is the worst imaginable tragedy," Redskins owner Daniel Snyder said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Sean's family."
Police said Taylor was struck in the leg by a bullet that hit the femoral artery, causing a severe blood loss.
Kinda strange, his place was just robbed last week.
Dying from a gunshot to the leg is also strange, even if it hit that femoral artery. You'd think him or his wife would have used a tourniquet to slow/stop the bleeding until help arrived. :screwy:
CNN also says his phone lines were cut outside and his home alarm was off. Maybe his wife was tired of his shit(beating her up) and had him killed for the insurance.....
Sounds like he might have been involved with the wrong people, or maybe it was just a robbery as the media is claiming. :dunno:

Four guys already arrested for Sean's murder.
They were not expecting him to be home when they broke in, so he surprised them and they freaked out. A couple of the guys were even semi friends with Sean ... :disappoin
Doesn't sound like they were trying to kill him, since they shot him in the leg, but appearently they werent aware of human anatomy & physiology and the femoral artery bleeding him out in a very short time.
