Hi, im new here. We have a 1994 lincoln towncar. The windows are electric and have all the parts, but the cables are unhooked and just laying inside the door panel. The motors are fine, etc, but we dont know how to put it back together. Can someone show us how to hook the cables up again? Thank you.

The Regulators (cables go inside) are broken.
You'll need to get new Regulators, drill out the rivets on the old ones to remove them, then install the new ones with either new rivets, or bolts in the place of the rivets.

Here's (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00011.html) an overview on the process.

You can also 'search' this forum for 'Window Regulator' to see what the other folks have done.
Here's what they look like (http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=100&hl=en&safe=off&q=Town+Car+Window+Regulator+1994&btnG=Search+Images)

Yep the cables are sure are broken, very common problem. You can buy new aftermarket ones for like 15.00 on e bay. I bought one for my town car and was very pleased. I've probally got some good used ones, but it would be more cost effective to buy the aftermarket ones. I don't have any removed right now any way. When replacing I find it easier to pull the glass out of the door to gain room to pull the reg out.

Over the summer I thought the motor was dying on me, so I took the door apart. After getting the motor out, I found the switch to be the problem. I had to put the whole damn thing back together and buy a new switch. After a couple of weeks passed, it stopped working. I had put the track back together slightly out of line fraying the cable. Now I need new cables and the plastic "wheel".
