has anyone ever bored a police interceptor over 30? I did and it seems to run worse than before. Do i need a special chip to adjust the fuel air ratio because of the increased piston size or will the computer automatically calibrate this. Any suggestions?

I have a 97 cc pi and as i said i bored it over 30. I guess that you could call it chugging because its not a smooth acceleration. It also feels under allot of load like i am pulling atrailer or something. Just feels like it should accelerate faster and smoother than it does. Any tips???:banghead:

Being bored 30 over shouldn't have any affect on the power curve. I'd be looking for something else. Perhaps a CEL code. Take it to one of the major parts outlets and they will pull the codes free of charge.
If you disconnect the negative bat terminal for 15 minutes it will reset the computer. How's the air and fuel filters. Jack it up and spin the wheels. Maybe the brakes are dragging. Nah!

Do all that no codes. No brake drag all filters are new and working properly. any more ideas?

Look you might look at the exhaust .There maybe a muffler or catalitic converter pugged or going away and ubstructing the exhaust. If there isnt a code i would check that.

New converters, i replaced them within this month but not the mufflers. Now thats what i will do. I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks for the ideas/tips. Mike

The new converters definitaly did the trick, the only bad thing is that i have to keep cleaning my MAF sensor every couple of months or it will shift like crap but i guess i can deal unless someone has come up with a solution for that specific problem. Thanks for all the help,
Mike
