Hi all, new here!

.... and I'm just about done my first model, a 1991 3000GT, produced by Tamiya. You'll have to bear with me here, I'm at work, and I can't RIGHT CLICK into properties of photos, therefor I cannot link the scaled down versions to this page. But, you can drag and drop the links below into your address bar, and you can see the 1200x? originals.
Now on with the show:
The box the car came in
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/pebdc9ebd99391be2a227da77cd030d26/fcfc175a.jpg
After the 3rd coat of primer. I ended up using 5 coats of teh Tamiya primer because of the problematic vents just fore of the rear wheels:
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/p508a1605cccf7ef828dd5501329f9099/fcfc1722.jpg
After the 5th coat, looking nice :D
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/p122dbc8c970cac4be8589d9415316f80/fcfc1728.jpg
Shot of the mostly complete undercarrige
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/pcb58178bf639f94effadd26633ecff6f/fcfc1730.jpg
Yea, the interior suck a lot of ass, but I'm just a beginner :(
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid40/p53c217efc7a9ad0b7d14322a02bc2337/fcfc173b.jpg
And that's aboot it. I haven't taken any moer pictures of the car since I've done more, but I'll add more in the next little while. One thing I KNOW I've done wrong was I tried to glue on the front "snake eyes" lights (flash to pass when the headlights are down...) with the same cement that I used to glue the body together. Now I'm left with an off colour orange mess, and no way to clean it up :bloated:
Other than that, can anyone offer tips to me for final details that Ican add to the car? ANYTHING would be appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to look!

PS... I just won an EBAY auction for a EVO VII Lancer WRC car, I CAN'T WAIT till it gets here! :D :D

well I suppose I didn't bold it or anything, but you have to drag and drop the links into your address bar. IMAGESTATION wont let me link directly to the pictures, this is just a way around the matter. :D

It will if you take the .orig.jpg off the end. and even better, you could take the .orig.jpg off of the end and then put img tags around it and post the pics here so people don't have to click links, just like this

Well, my first ever "update" on the current model! :D
Side view... the better side...
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/pdcd4dc790c5be592774d98811ac6f993/fcf68ac3.jpg
rear view, you can see on the left side of the glass where I inadvertantly used the plastic model cement, rather than the "Krystal Klear" glue :(
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/p264e98157f11cfe2500de9798df0adce/fcf68abc.jpg
and same here, the yellow in the front lights there SHOULD be clear, but apparently, I messed up :p
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/p68e263f92279e46dc70f1faa5cd2db02/fcf68ab6.jpg
drivers side sail pannel.... should be a bit more "flat black" (which I used...) but I painted on the inside of the glass, so it's glossy
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/pf144afca454a775e60e5c22b0a67efa1/fcf68aae.jpg
ditto for the passenger side....
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/p5a8458dd7da1baa2acf7f7bce5fe3377/fcf68aa9.jpg
it's about 90% done, just waiting for the spoiler and the rear license plate bracket to dry (which will read "GTO")
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid41/p0c1efb6eeb62cb9d32d4871c1be23713/fcf68ab1.jpg
Well that's it for now, I REALLY need another model to start on so I have something to do while paint etc is drying. BTW, there is 5 coats of paint on the car (Tamiya Pearl White) and was laid on with a spraycan.
Ciao for now!

Hey that GTo looks very good!!! how much did you pay for the kit? also... ur question about the rims. most people go to
http://www.hlj.com
go to Fujimi, then Auto Accesories, then Tyre and Wheel.
or you can go to
hobbysearch.com (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/plamo/index_e.asp?Bno=2878874&Typ1_c=102)
i've never ordered from there, but from what i've heard, those are good places...
and also
WELCOME!

Nice GTO, what's the stock wheel size on those things? I'm looking to get one at some point, if I ever finish these current projects :bloated:

1) Go to www.hlj.com
2) Scroll down the side menu until you see "browse by company".
3) Click Fujimi.
4) Find a picture of a wheel with "Auto access". Click it.
5) Scroll down until you find the wheels.
Step 3 can be replaced by clicking Aoshima, or any other company that makes wheels.
Hope this helps.
