need info

i need to change piston rings in a 97 eclipse 2.0 can i do this without taking the motor out and can i do this from the bottom of the motor will the pistons drop down on the crank far enough to change the rings

yes you can change rings in the car .....but if your doing cause of smoking at idle check your valve stem seals
