I got the front ones on, but didn't lower them yet.. still waiting to put the backs on.. had a few problems w/ the fronts, and ran out of time, so they're still at stock height, until I get the back ones off and changed, then I'm going to lower the front 1", and level the back w/ the front.
Apparently, the front ones aren't sitting level w/ each other either lol... I'll have to measure them out and level 'em before I go to work tomorrow, they're easily adjustable... it's kinda funny that the LF sits 1" Lower than the RF right now

How far do y'all think I can lower the car before it seriously needs an alignment? I know we've covered this, but I can't find the threads...

you should get an alignment no matter how far you drop it. The thing is when to use a camber correction kit.

yeah, stupid me.. that's what I meant, but I read somewhere that you can go about 1.5 inches front and rear w/o correction... I know I need an alignment, but I need a full suspension rebuild first :P

yeah most people who go around 1" don't bother with camber. My rear end was never corrected and the tires lasted for as long as I owned the car with only a little camber wear..the fronts were new when I got it however, and that was another story.. I swear I could never get it aligned right, even after 3 professional alignments and a new cross member, steering rack and upper control arm the right wheel still wore more than any of the other wheels.

hah... this car has near perfect alignment, even tho most of the movable parts are seriously worn.. they're all original pieces, and the chassis has 269k on it.
I'm slowly doing a suspension rebuild, replacing stuff w/ performance or at least lighter parts as I can... that's why I'm going to end up doing the rear disc swap, but I dont' need rear brakes yet.. just one of the trailing arm bushings is broken.
That's also why I'm using adjustable coils.. I don't plan on adjusting them ever, but they're swappable, and I can get shorter struts, so when I go w/ the 91 rear lower control arms, I can still use my springs, even tho I'll have to get new struts (pressed steel vs. cast iron/aluminum.) 88 mounts IN the lower control arm... 89-91 mounts ON it.
i'm pry going to get aluminum parts and do an actual brake upgrade instead of getting the stuff all from a teg
I'll just keep the 'teg brake system, but use aftermarket parts on the suspension itself.
