Starting Problems

I am having trouble starting my car. Sometimes it will start right up and sometimes it won't. When it doesn't it will keep making a clicking noise, and I'll have to keep trying until it finally starts. Also when I drive the battery meter keeps wavering up and down and the lights will dim a little. I have had my battery and alternator checked, and they were both fine. I took off the starter and had it checked and it is fine. I checked the battery connections and the ground and they are fine and clean of corrosion. I don't know what else to do.

I don't know what else to do. start by checking the ground on the engine side make sure it is connected and clean another thing is the clicking coming from starter area or is it from inside of car because you have a starter relay on right side of glove box if you drop down glove box you shoud be able to trace wiring up and over to right in mine the relay is grey and has 2 thick wires one is purple and the other is i think yellow but check it if not have someone turn over while you check small wire on starter for voltage it should be hot during crank hope this helps
