? on 98 Cherokee Cooling System

I have a 98 XJ 4.0 w/150K miles that started to get hot last summer in traffic but did not overheat or boil over, we opened the windows and turned on the heat until it cooled down. Coolant is still grteen and not too dirty, but there is a small leak in the lower driver side of the radiator so I'm going to replace it.

I've read some of the threads about open and closed loop system, and mine has a cap on the radiator and a snap cap on the overflow bottle, I assume it's an open system? Do these have air bubble problems too?

Any advise on where to get a good radiator, should I look for an aluminum or three core? I'm thinking of doing the water pump and hoses too. Any advise or tips would be appreciated and what to look out for so I don't have to do it twice:banghead:

Alot of people have had best results with just high flow pump, tstat, and outlet. If they tried using the high flow rad it would cause it to run to cold and end up making the engine run richer and burn more fuel.
