Here is my project. I intend to use this truck trail riding, camping, snow plowing (light use), and maybe even some pulling competitions.
Here's what I'm starting with:
1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab, Long Bed, 4X4, Auto.
5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel:
K&N Cold Air Intake
Rebuilt and tweaked P-Pump
#8 Banks fuel plate
Bosch 330hp injectors
5" straight piped exhaust
4" downpipe
est. 375RWHP and 700 ft/lbs tq.
Transmission and Torque Converter:
Suncoast Converter's automatic transmission with shift kit. All billet except for input/outut shafts.
Suncoast Converter's triple disc locking torque converter.
Truck:
4.10 gears
38.5 trxus STS tires on 18" Weld rims
10" suspension lift
Dual red top optima batteries
Westin Brush Guard
2 55W Halogen driving lights
Class 3 Reciever
Cab clearance lights
Bushwacker fender flares
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So here's the deal, while I'm finishing up college I'd like to build up my truck and save some money. Then when I'm through with school, I'd like to move from Michigan, up to Alaska. I figure I've got 3, maybe 4 years.
I'd like to spend 2 months driving up there. I think it'd be a great trip.
There is alot I'd like to do to this truck in order to prepare it for the trip.
Things such as:
Auxillary fuel tank
Front bumper, with recessed hydraulic 16,000lb winch, and class 3 reciever
9,000 lb electric removable winch, can be used on front or rear bumper.
2000watt power inverter
Air compressor
CB Radio
There's more but I thought I'd give an idea of what I'd like to do with this truck..
If ya happen to have any suggestions on what else I could do, I'd like to hear 'em!
