i slowed down for a turn and when i gave the truck gas it wouldn't go over about 12mph and service engine soon light came on error message said engine throttle level below threshold. what the **** happened ? i took the negative cable off and let the s.e.s. light reset and it hasn't done it anymore. what would cause it to act up?:banghead:

I just had this happen to me. What I had to do was turn the key in the on position, look under the hood and find the gas pressure line on the 5.3 its on the left side. When you take the cap off and press the valve you should get a steady flow of gas. If it trips out you need a fuel pump. Mine started but I could go over ten miles per hour. When I tried to it the gas it backfired and then cut off. Let me know if this works

How is your tune up and mileage?
Best not to disconnect the battery for a reset on check engine light.
The next time the light comes on get the code and post back code no.
