Where can I purchase the proper tools for doing a valve adjustment on a 1998 3.2L Passport? I need the valve bucket depressor and shim puller if available. I need to adjust the valve clearance and I would like to have the proper tools to do it if possible.

Is this a DOHC?
I am interested also. From what I can see the depressing tool (J-42689) is like a narrow spoon that you insert on the tappet and then rotate the cam to push the tappet down. Looks pretty simple but I would like to know where to get one, or details to copy.
The other problem for me is getting shims. As far as I know dealers only sell a whole shim kit. May be able to get them surface ground but this is time consuming.
Does anybody know the exact diameter of these shims? Might be able to get equivalent.
Cheers.

The tool is probably dealer only item, same with the shims. One trick a lot of ppl with bucket and shim valves do is flip the shim over. Its not very common for bucket and shim valves to need any work. By the time you spend the money on shims and special tools its probably cheaper to just have the dealer do it. Its a real pain in the ass job. I've done it on yotas in the 80's but not on an isuzu which is a little different design.
