Help....red light on!!

I have a 97 Rodeo with factory keyless entry. The small red flashing light to the left of the steering column has somehow remained on steady and my remotes no longer working. I have to manually lock/unlock with key. Does anyone know what a steady red light mean? I've searched and have found nothing. How do I reset the keyless controller under driver's seat? Thanks.

So frustrated...both remote dead and damn red light on continuously. I've tried everything I could find on forum with no success. I decided to call the dealers. One claimed their zoo expert not around. The other stealer wants me to bring it in to diagnose and one hour labor :banghead: This morning I decided to give it one more try. I went to the remote controller module under driver seat and disconnected the main harness. Alarm started blasting...neighbors getting pissed. I hit the lock/unlock on remote and voila....No more red light and both remotes functional again. Hope this helps you guys in future, if needed. Happy Thanksgiving.:grinyes:
