95 tbird wont idle

95 tbird 4.6 L

ran fine yesterday, hopped in this morning and would not start! It will run smooth as can be if you start it with the gas pedal down, but as soon as you let off the throttle it just dies. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it would do this? tried my scanner but does not flag anything wrong..

Sounds like a bad throttle positioning switch.

swapped the tps first, and did not help. Then swapped the iac and that was the ticket. She fired right off like usual. Thanks for your input it is greatly appreciated:)
