Upgrading 2000 Yukon to Auto Temp Control

I have a 2000 Yukon with manual temperature control that has become partially inoperative. Since I need to replace the operator control, I wonder about upgrading to automatic temp control. I know there is more involved than simply changing to the ATC control head. Does anyone know what all is required and how difficult the conversion is?
