loud squeaking noise-

i found out that the loud squeaking noise from my car is coming from a busted drive shaft. i know nothing about cars, so can someone please tell me the urgency of getting this fixed? and an estimated cost (so i don't get ripped off by the dealership and mechanic)?

hello if are replacing the whole axle about 300 parts/2 hrs labor
cv joint 150/3 hrs labor in most cases just the joint needs replacement
but not sure whats wrong with yours good luck
