So it's pretty snowy here on Ontario..and the other day it's like a snow storm.....the roads aren't plowed...i'm droppin' off one of my women :D and she lives on a massive hill...me trying to be the cool guy that i am, doesn't gear down before the hill......so my ABS is workin' overtime on this hill, and i still decide...i'm gonna show off and slide around this turn......well that didn't go to well...i slide part way through the turn, and then the car continued on a straight path towards the snowbank...at this point i'm in for the ride... so i hit the snowbank..by this time i was probably only going like 10km/h......i swear a little, then back up, and assess the damage.....no visible bumper damage...i'm happy as hell! Is there any sort of damage that could have occured to the bumper, that isn't visible from looking at the exterior? thanks

Got lucky that time huh;)
If you can't see any damage, there probably isn't any.

the bumper is filled with (believe it or not) styrafoam. its possible that you may have fracture that inside, but it makes ABSOLUTLY no difference. i really wouldn't worry about it unless it falls off or something

last week I had a truck pulling a trailer rearend me doing about 15 MPH put a small line asross the piesec to the sides of the plate but thats about it oh and me and my friend s heads bobbling likr the chihuhu in the back window didnt help my headache but the bumpers seem pretty resilientbeside the slight new form it left in the bumper it looks fine I think its made of neoprene not fiberglass

YEAH, Your lucky it didn't flex the paint and crack it. Those urethane bumpers are a bitch. My 99 GrandPrix was hit in a parking lot and of course they didn't stick around to apologize. But when they hit it the bumper flexed enough that it cracked the paint on one corner in several places. :angryfire

yea......good thing it was a snowbank.....gives alot..
I noticed that the gap where the bumper attaches to the rest of the body...by the wheel wheel..is slightly bigger....but nothing noticable
