What would you do with $600?

If you had a stock 2g Eclipse GST and had $600 to spend on it and get it to about 250-260hp what would you do?

Don't assume thats the best thing to do... First off, a new turbo is going to more than go over his 600 dollar limit... Also, the T25 just might have enough balls to barely get that 250hp goal... I would let it breath better with an open element intake and a 3" exhaust turbo-back... Add a manual boost controller, an AFC, and some 550cc injectors... With those mods you will probably be at your 600 dollar mark and it should put you up to around 230ish hp with a good tune running a bit more boost... Next you would want to look into upgrading your turbo and adding a front mount intercooler and some aftermarket intercooler lines...

Yeah the first things you will want to do will be let it breath better. So an intake and exhaust would be the best first things to do.

First off, you should not look at $600 and expect it to achieve your goal. It will help, but will not get you to 250 whp by any means. Brian's list is pretty good, but new value on all that is over a grand. You will need to shop around and shop around hard to do it for $600.

Thor's first $600:
-3" turbo back exhaust: $350-$500.
-K&N filter: $50
-1g bov: $30
-JoeP MBC: $40
-Boost guage: $50.

That should get you started, but like I said, dont expect 250 whp. As stated, you'll have to shell out for SAFC, probably injectors, a fuel pump rewire, and decent intercooling before you can get that kind of power, plus I dont think that T25 can support that much power.

It can support around 250-260ish max...

First, I would make sure the car can hold any mods (maintenance). Then fuel (fuel pump/ injectors), then intercooler.. support then the goodies.

I mean on my car, I'm at 350 and spent around 1k for all my mods... but I also know where to find good deals/ trades, etc.
