help! my c250td has sucked something (dont know what ) into the turbo , the damage does not look too severe to the compressor blades (just light chips to the trailing edge) but is whistling louder on boost. is it safe to keep running the car? the turbo still spins freely and i have no noticable loss in power.

It should be fine, but it's well worth removing the compressor cover for a closer look.

The spinning action means most damage always occurs to the outer edges and occurs quite evenly (yes I've been there too). The centre is the worst place for damage as a blade could possibly let go.
