Swap Information Help please......

Thanks for taking the time to chec this. I have a 1996 Honda Civic Dx. Its a 5 speed and power nothing. Now I am planing on doing a swap this christmas or either next janurary.
The swap I want to do is going to be a b18c5 (type R)
or a obd2 b16 i think its b16a2 if im not mistaken. Anyways I was wondering on this swap, am I going to have a check engine light on for the power sterring not being connected by a connecter because I'm not putting power sterring onto my car because as you know i have a manual rack.Id there anything else I should be aware of befor I do this swap... Please help me out I have been searching and figured it be best to ask in here. Thanks......
