I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited with a 3inch lift wih 31x10.5 tires. I was thinking about puting some bushwacer fender flares on my Jeep i was wondering if anyone else has done this with such a small lift and tires. Also does anyone know where i can find the cheapest bushwacker fender flares? Thanks

Bushwackers are a very good looking "high dollar" flare.

Unfortunately, the get knocked off when "wheeling" sometimes. That is an expensive "whack job" then.

Some people use a TJ flare (TJ is the late model Wrangler).
Rusty's makes some also. Quadratec has some too. So does JCW.

Rusty

I was planning the same thing..

I have the same year as you, 3 inch and 31s as well.

First the old fenders have to come off.

2nd the fender wells have to be cut open.

3rd. there are different Bushwhackers. the ones we need are teh bolt on type. they are called "Cut Outs" case you have to cut out the inner fender wells first.

they wont fall off cause they are bolted on.

don't know about you but my tires rub with the stock fenders and cause the tires stick out, you get mud all over the place.

the BW's should fix that.

Instead of going with the expensive Bushwacker flares why not try these if you're looking for tire coverage and the ability to stuff the tires in the wheel well when off-roading.

Rusty's off road also makes some like that for $185 each side with either 6 or 8 inch bulge at this site.
