Tires- need help asap!

I currently have 245/70R16 tires on my passport. I need to get snow tires and a friend is selling brand new 235/70R16's for half of what they cost because they for whatever reason don't need them. Will these tires work?

Yes they will work, assuming you're asking if they would fit. They are slightly smaller than your originals so no problem fitting. Your speedometer may be off by around 2%. When your spedo reads 60mph you're actually traveling around 59mph. No big deal.
