2000 Pa Climate Contol On Steering Wheel

Good afternoon/morning everyone. I'm a new member, but have gotten alot of helpful tips fromt he site (thank ya'll). I recently put in an Alpine deck and had an alarm put on my 2000 PA, however; the climate control was still adjustable from the steering wheel after I put in the deck. But after they put in the alarm I can't change the temp via the steering wheel. I took my PA back to the alarm shop and the guy is trying to tell me that it's not working due to the factory deck being replaced. But I'm sure it was working prior to them putting in the alarm and then I called Buick and from what they said is that the climate control is not linked to the factory radio and should not be affected by putting in a aftermarket deck. Could someone confirm this for me so that I'm in a better positon before I go back :runaround: to the alarm shop? Thanks in advance!!
