i was looking into gutting out my precats but i was wondering, does anyone make pre cat eliminators for n/a 3's. because i have see these for the tt. i was thinking instead of gutting them out...just replace them with custom piping...would that be a good idea??? would it help for better exhaust flow or it wouldn't be a significant difference so instead of going through the trouble of doing custom piping, just gut the precats?

In regards to the low-end loss/top-end gain, when you do soemthing like this would the numbers THEORETICALLY be like

gutting precats = 10% loss low end, 10% gain top end

or would you lose some low end, but gain more top end? like

gutting precats = 10% loss low end, 15% gain top end.

REMEMBER, I only used these numbers for comparison's sake.

As per your original question blu3kgt, if you're sure you wanna do something to the precats, its just a matter of if you got enough extra money lying around that you cant spend on anything else. I mean, the results will probably be more or less equivelant whether you gut them or replace them, so it just depends on whether it's worth the money to not do the work yourself

Gut them and be done.

You have to get the 02 sims or you will have a CEL
