Got a fun race in today

Well I worked tonight and got back to my bachelor pad round 10. When I pulled up there was this scooby sti Sitting in my driveway. I'm like Who the f' is that its nice all black looking sweet. I walk inside and see my bud chilling with a couple guys I know. I'm like who's scooby is that and the one guy is like its mine I just got it like 10 days ago. Its a 2004. I'm like nice man that thing is pretty bad ass. I asked if there was anything done to it. He told me the previous owner had put a BOV (turbosmart) and a 3 inch turboback exhaust. I was like you want to race. He was like YA...
Now I had |JUST finished putting in my new bc 272's so I am DIEING to race and what better opportunity. All of the sudden all the boys are getting all into it like who is going to be the starter and who is going to be at the finish line. This is me wishing My video camera wasn't broke (doesn't record video only black screen and audio :S)
Anyways we go and t up our cars.
Our buddy lines up the tires and we rev em up. I can tell he doesn't have a stutterbox cause mine is the only one pinging. So needless to say despite he having AWD too I burn him off the line with my gtech measuring a satisfying 1.91 60'ft. I just keep pulling on him through second but let me tell you his BOV sounded SOOO mean. It sounds twice as loud as mine (recirc) vs Vented I guess but anyways I crossed the line about 8 cars ahead. He told me he had never been smoked so bad which makes me feel really good cause those scoobies are nice cars not gonna lie.
MAN DID MY 272's ever pull on the top end over stock cams 123023414939 percent better. Felt soo good to really keep on pulling past 5500rpm.
So anyways my gtech read a 13.1 @104 so I was liking.
Later he took me for a ride and it pulls pretty nice he loves it compared to his old v6 cougar (ftL). But what can I say it just doesn't pull enough ;) \

Yea I am. you think just cause the STI under the best conditions brand new with a profesional driver did it in 13.2 @ 103 means everyone who drives it can put a 13.2 103 especially after 4 years and 200 000km?. And I just told you I ran a 13.1 104 you realizes 8 car lengths at 104mph is about 3/4 of a second right.

104 Miles per Hour = 152.53333333333333 ft per second
A car length is 15 ft Therefore 10 car lengths in one second. 8 cars in 3/4 of a second. So that puts the STI at a completely respectable 13.9.

Oh yea thor system is out sitting here in my room with me. The AC doesn't even work and is a spring chopping block project. And as for the rims man I just like em too much I dunno I just like the bling I'm pretty sure they are staying.

Actually its funny you asked that. He was not cocky at all about it. he was and is a really cool guy. HOWEVER, this other guy who used to own the car right before him took huge offence to me spanking him when the current scooby owner told him about it and he said " Let me race him in your car for money" and the current owner was like no man you will lose . THen the guy ended up saying I'll bet you 50 I win and the current scooby owner took the bet called me said he'd give me 25 to race him. I was like its a deal. He was supposed to come today at 2 to race but never did. So I called and we are supposed to reschedule. We will see if it goes down for a round 2 new driver. PS I think its pretty cool the guy is betting against his own car. Also this guy does sound like a real cocky prick. PPS I took out some money of my own to up the wager.
