2000 Express 3500 6.5 Turbo Diesel

Replaced safety switch 1 mo ago. Now same problem. Turn the key & nothing happens. I can start the truck by jumping out the pins at the starter relay under the hood in the fuse block.

My issue is that I need identification for the pins at the safety switch. My switch has a 7 pin and a 4 pin plug. I suspect the 4 pin is involved.

I have the chilton's online manual, but is shows little of this switch. Any help would be great.

Check your PM mail.

For online repair info the All Data sub is one of the best.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

:iceslolan Thanks for your quick response. The schematic was perfect, thank you. I found the right terminals and temp. fixed the connection at the switch. The harness is mangled, so I'll have to replace both plugs. After I fixed the connections and replaced a fuse in the inside panel, it started right up.

Thank you again.
Now I have to troubleshoot my glow plug circuit. The truck won't start in the cold without starting fluid, also a new problem.

You are welcome and thanks for posting back how it went.
Glad you got it figured out and fixed.

On the glow plugs always test each glow plug.
I always like to just touch a 12 volt fused jumper to each one and see if they are pulling voltage.
A bad or weak glow plug will not pull any voltage.
Good Luck
