As the title states, what companies make clear resin. Also where can i get them. And lastly, once the resin is set is it really clear or with a white tint in it? I recieved a baracca Mercedes MKB SL, but im disapointed with the head and taillights as the resin is not exactly clear. Any help will be appreciated.

I have Smooth-On's Crystal Clear 202 and like the name says, it's Crystal Clear. . lol. . .
Awesome stuff and mixes by weight or by volume. . .
Purchased specifically to do headlights, it's thin enough to eliminate most bubbles. I've never had a problem with bubbling and I have used a variety of casting methods from straight pouring into molds to injecting into a completed assembly with a hypodermic type applicator.

Just get some 5 minute clear epoxy.... it dries crystal clear. Defcon is the brand I use.

Thanks a lot, one more question though. I looked on their website and it states that the shelf life isn't too long once both parts are open. Since i plan on casting just head and taillights for now, i don't want to really waste it by not using it. Any idea on how long the shelf life is?

I purchased it back in 2002 and it's still fine.
If anything it appears to be a little thicker but not really noticeable and sets up just as well as the day I bought it. It's still is quite thin.
Here are a few pics. Dug it and out mixed up a batch . . .
Any yellowing is due to my camera and not the resin. It's literally crystal clear . .

Then Poured onto a clear plastic sheet . . .

I was using it for replacements for Pocher Ferrari headlights.
The original headlights (seen in the left HL housing) were vac formed and then glued to a mylar "chromed" plastic sheet. Then a hole was drilled into the edge and resin shot in with a hypodermic applicator. Later after setting up the chrome mylar was trimmed away and the edges polished up.
