Hey everybody,

New guy here. I was looking under the hood of my Sorento today and notice there was this suction sound coming from the very top and front of the engine. There is this flying saucer sort of looking thing that looks like a turbo waste gate, or a fuel pressure regulator. It may have to do with the VVT system? Anyway, it has a vacuum hose hooked to it on one end and the other has a small lever mechanism. The sound seems to be coming from that very spot. It sounds like a disconnected vacuum line.

I was wondering if you guys can check to see if your Sorentos have the same sound. I did take the top cover off, but I don't think you have to. I'm really affraid I have a loose line somewhere and that the engine is sucking dirt in.

Thanks in advance.

Rick
