Hi, I just finished doing some decal works on a Dragon pre-painted BTCC BMW and i was thinking of clear coating the body to protect the decals. Has anyone tried using Tamiya TS13 on these kits?? I think it will not be a smart move to spray and pray TS13 on the body, any recommendations?? can someone help me out?? thanks in advance!!

I honestly have no clue what type of paint they used, but I wouldn't use TS-13. If you have an airbrush, try Tamiya X-22, and if you don't have an airbrush, Gunze clear in a spray can works well too. Both X-22 and Gunze are acrylic-based so they have a much lower chance of ruining your paint or decals.

But acrylic clearcoats are never hard enough to handle when cured....

What kind have you used? I've never had a problem handling them, however, I don't really do anything with them after they're in the display case. Maybe you didn't let it cure long enough?
