CEL question

well i have a 97 sohc which is the cali spec... which means i have two pre cats and a main cat .... so my quesion is.. on my vehicle there is a sensor above each precat and below each precat... and where the main cat is at, there is no type of sensor after it... so if i take the main cat off,will i get a CEL??? i know the most logical answer is no because there is no sensor...but im just curious that i might be wrong...

i think you can remove all of them, and just put a little resistor in and not get a CEL.

yeah i have heard of that, having a cel is not problem i was just wondering would it set it off just from removing that cat with no sensor??

No issues with the cat. As I said in the other thread the precats being guted will throw a CEL. Get the o2 sims.
