Hi all new to this group. I noticed some Tampa FL people on here talking about Masto Subaru, If your in area let me Know. Ok lets actually get to the subject. !st I understand the scenario of the FWD fuse. But My ques is does the solenoid that dissengages the transfer clutch actually burn up after awhile and is this inside or outside the tranny. I understand this is only to be used temp but... I bought this 96 a few weeks ago and notice while changing diff fluid it was missing the 2nd part of the propellarshaft to the rear diff:banghead: . I cant seem to find a drive shaft to save my life any where. I use this car for a Doggie Daycare and need help fast. Im afraid the torque converter may eventually go out being the car has no propellarshaft and works harder:screwy: . Can I if needed for awhile really put FWD fuse in? Dealer said its ok one place and another said no , I dunoo. If its just an solenoid burning out and keeps torque conv from over working over time safer possibly.:grinyes: This also makes me wonder If the prior owner had this piece of driveshaft removed for other problems In the awd System that may not appear until I eventually find a replacement propellar shaft . Thanks all Tim
