Car won't start since security system enabled?

I have a 97' Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Before I got the car 2 years ago the salesman told me that they disabled the security system and I haven't had any problems until today. The security system was enabled somehow and now the car won't start (Red light on dash repeatedly blinks even when car is off). How do I disable the security system?

2 days before this I got a check engine light and I seen a long wire under the passenger side engine frayed from a connecter and a friend spliced the wire and connected it and the car hasn't started since and security light is blinking.

my 97 did the same thing the best thing to do is rip out the whole system and all its components, its a pain in the ass but its the best way to stop the problem.. good luck

I unplugged the fuse under the hood #8 and the blinking light is now gone, my car started and was driven home. There is still a frawed long gray wire on the passengar's side of the hood, which could be giving me my service engine soon problem.

Best thing to do is post a pic of the wire you are referring to. If you are still getting the SES/CEL light then get it scanned and post the DTC(s) for further assistance.

How do I post the pics on here, I have them on my computer in a picture folder?

The AF image storing service is not reliable so it is best to subscribe to one like www.photobucket.com like I do. They are free. Then copy the IMG tag and post in the thread by pasting.
