I get to stage when I need to paitn window frames on my VW bus.
But there is trouble. Edges are not very sharp and it isn't easy to mask it nicely. I tried that on rear window and I don't like result.

Model is for my wife and she likes it and without that black frames.

What you think, to try to paint it anyway or just to leave it how it is in white?

I'd have to say paint

good luck

Edit: Zeljko, have you considered using liquid mask, like Humbrol's Maskol, etc? It might make things a bit easier.

Maybe I've always been a kamikaze kinda modeller (cut first ask question later :D ), but I always paint the window frame usually handbrush (with no masking) using enamel. With little practice (and lots of patience) who needs masking tape :finger:

OF course I will make mistakes and paint outside the frame, but that's the reason I always use lacquer for body color (or lacquer coat on top of enamel) and use enamel for the window frame; so I can wipe off mistakes with enamel thinner :licker:

I say paint them. Try some liquid mask, or cut pieces of masking tape in half and use the thin strips to stick around the outside of the window frames.

That's it! I see that he had same problems. And his lines are not full straight. Stripes will be good but corners are curved.
I put mask on windows and cut it with knife on edges.

Only my bus will have green wheels and chrome bumpers.

Maybe you could try using some stripes of decal. At least for the straight parts, then a real steady had to fill in the curves. Going to be tricky and time consuming no matter how you tackle it!

BTW very hip and happening looking Kombi van so far :smoka: Love the flowers!
