Hello,
I have a 1993 MX3 v6. About a month ago I was driving to work and the car just stopped on me (20 minutes into a 30 minutes drive). I tried to restart it, but it wouldn’t start. I called a tow company and it took them about 2 hours to get there and while they were hooking up the tow truck I tried to start it and it started. About a week later the same thing happen again. So I change the distributor, cap, spark plugs, and wires. But the same thing happen again. The car seems to start after sitting for about 2 hours.

It's the internal coil circuit inside the distributor. When it heats up it ends up causing a short. Simple fix is the HEI conversion and external coil.
http://www.clubprotege.com/wil/howto/hei/index.htm this is the walkthrough on the conversion , I think it costs about 60-ish and maybe 2 hours for a novice. When I had my 1993 I had the same thing happen to me repeatedly and at a cost of 300 + for new distributors..it was a expensive problem.
Also mx-3.com may end up being a little more resourceful for you.
