90 Accord Speed Sensor

I purchased a speed sensor online for a "90 Accord & v-tec". It looks identical to the one I was replacing but there is a slight difference in the electrical connector which prevents making the connectors engage. I assume the vehicle must be "v-tech"..this is a 4 cyl manual, not v-tech. Any one know if the new sensor will work if I swap connectors?
