I've gotten very intrigued by the new Crazy Modeller photoetch sets for the RC211V, ZX-RR, Ducati, etc. Does anyone have experience with these sets and can they comment on ease of use? I consider my skills half-way decent but really haven't used photoetch with the exception of putting a few odd bits on tanks and cars. Do they come with good instuctions? Any comments would be useful. I'm considerting getting a set and seeing how it goes but just thought I'd ask in case they present and extreme challenge or whatever.
Thanks!

I've tried the etch sets for the Yamaha M1 '04 (this is one large set!) and must say that I'm VERY happy with it so far. Great detail and quality. The biggest flaw with photo etch sets in my opinion is that they always put a lot of details in that are too small or too fragile to handle, or the worst sort, when the piece just look like sh**t. I've seen a couple of really ugly tries on representing exhaust springs. Just a big laugh.
But I think you shall give it a try. I never use the whole set and I'm satisfied anyhow.

Many people feel that the same achievements can be made without PE sets. That being said, I will defend them to the utmost. I try to find an accompanying set for every model I build. I have never used 100% of any set, but there are always pieces that make any plastic piece look inferior. As mentioned above, the detail is great, but they can be a pain to handle. I think I have lost more PE pieces then ever applied.

I have used some PE stuff on my builds so far. But I usually don't use everything. The thing I find the most annoying is the chainpart. Until now I have never used this piece. But I'm very fond of the braking dics. For my HAYABUSA X1 I have used the Lion Roar set.
