Ingition switch

I have a 1995 Buick Lasabre that has a problem with cranking sometimes. I really believe it may be a bad ignition switch. Sometimes, and rarely, you can turn the switch to crank and it will not do anything not even click. I have cleaned the battery connections, hot and ground, but that does not seem to help. That is why I believe it may be just a bad ignition switch. Is there some way to tell if that is what it is? And if it is how is it removed for replacement? Or do you think it may be something else?
Thanks in advance.

When it don't start, what is the security light doing?

I am sorry but I haven't notice. I will watch for that next time it happens and post.

It could be your switch. Or your Pass-Key system, or a faulty wire, or your neutral position switch, or your starter, or your battery connection. The ignition switch would be the last thing I would suspect. Yet, it could go bad.
Check the most obvious first: battery and connection. Then, check your starter. Then, the neutral position switch, then the wiring, then the Pass-Kay, then the ignition switch.
