I have recently replaced just about everything on this truck and am having one more problem. The truck starts up fine, runs for a while and then dies. Then will only start after a few minutes if you pull the choke out all the way for several seconds. I will die regardless of whether your driving or just idling. I can see that there is fuel in the fuel pump. With a spark tested can see that there is spark. Something just seem to change and then it wants to die.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to AF. I'd check fuel pressure to start out with when it dies. , then look at any posssible add on fuel filters that may be clogged, check if there is a small mesh strainer in carb inlet also, this all assumes it is a fuel problem.

How clean is the fuel tank? I like to sometimes install a clear filter before the fuel pump if I suspect a tank problem with rust and residual old stale gas.

You could do a fuel pump volume test, which is quite simple. you disconnect the line off the carb and crank the engine for something like 15 seconds and dump the gas into a container. You'd have to look up the specs on it, but it will rule out a weak fuel pump.

Check all gas hoses back to the tank, I've had rubber hoses that were quite porous, but wouldn't leak gas. They would just suck up air instead of gas.

If you have the one-barrel carb, make sure that the top and bottom sections are tight, sometimes they loosen up when gaskets shrink.
