hey all im fairly new to this and i appoligise if u put this int the wrong plce.

i have a 1990 crx with a 1.5 and i want to do an engine swap to somthing that will bolt right in so i dont have to but mounts n all that.

wat would be the easyest n cheapest swap i could do?

i was looking at doing a zc swap but i cant really find any zc's around were i live and i cant order one.

next i was thinking of doing a D16z6 SOHC VTEC swap.

wat do you guys think i should do?

The d16z6 will bolt right in but will also require you to convert your wiring harness to multi-port, and also to OBD-1. And also to add the vtec wires. Pretty much any engine you buy is going to require the multi-port swap though.

Well like I said, unless you get another dpfi or you use your crappy manifold theyre all gonna require a mpfi swap.

You need to take parts from both a dpfi and mpfi harness, mainly the injector clips. There are numerous search results that will point you where you want to go. Its really not hard to do, you just have to be capable of keeping track of and being able to run a few wires.

dude, just buy a master rebuild kit from any parts store for whatever engine you're rebuilding.. it will come w/ everything you need to rebuild it.

MPFI swap is really easy, I've done it quite a few times, just make sure you check the exact pinouts on the ECU twice before you cut.. they're printed on the clip, and remember to check the orientation of the diagram you're using.
